5 MUST-KNOW DINING ROOM IDEAS FOR A DREAMY HOME YOU WILL LOVE

Most homes have the dining room designed to be one of the first rooms of the home that you see upon entering. This means you want the space to have the best dining room table, dining room chairs, and my favorite; dining room lights to welcome guests into your cozy environment. Sometimes it can be daunting to find the right dining room decor and dining room ideas at affordable costs, but look no further, below, I am going to get you the ultimate glow up for your dining room at the best prices!

Dining Room Rug

A dining room rug is one of the best ways to really elevate the space first to make the table and chairs pop. I get asked often if you need a rug, because people do not want to spill food or drink on it. My answer is always, YES! If you are in a season with kiddos, or hosting often, take the washable rug route, but truly do not skip out on a rug. My favorite, favorite, FAVORITE rug right now can be used in any room of the house and is shown in the right hand picture, found at Wayfair.

Dining Room Chandelier & Dining Room Light Fixtures

Dining room light fixtures should NOT be overlooked. Having the proper dining room chandelier or dining room lighting over table can literally make or break the look of your space (not to be dramatic). I often like to choose the fixture look and feel based on the dining room table, so my recommendation….buy the table first! Always remember that we want to make spaces pop with textures and colors. If you have a light colored dining room table, I would go for a darker light fixture, and vice versa. What is extremely popular right now are dark tables, like walnut colored, and therefore I would pick a Gold accented dining room chandelier, like this one found at The Home Depot.

Depending on your budget for your dining room, I truly feel that you can save money on the dining room table. What makes the table stand out is going to be the lighting, chairs, rug, and dining table decor not the table itself. Personally, I purchased our dining room table off of Marketplace to save money, and I feel like you would never know because of the “jazz” going on around the table that amplifies the look. I am very into fluted tables right now (found this one at WALMART) or this one that can be delivered from Ashley Furniture! If I were just buying a home or refreshing my dining room I would a 10000% buy one of these tables, with an upholstered chair like the below.
